SUBJECT: Cebu Governor’s Office Strict Implementation of Executive Order Nos. 2 / 2A / 2B Series of 2021
Dear MEPZCEM Members,
Please be guided of the Executive Orders issued by the office of the Cebu Governor, as follow:
- Executive Order No. 2 – Providing a schedule to be observed by truck operators for the release and pull out of cargo from the Cebu International Port
- Executive Order No. 2A – Allowing the pull out of cargo from the Cebu International Port Intended for transfer to domestic baseports and container yards located within the port zone.
- Executive ORder No. 2B – Regulating the return of empty intermodal containers to container yards and empty cargo trucks plying portions of the National Highway
Please be informed that Governor Garcia will strictly implement the above executive orders that were not complied fully. Severe penalties will be charged to the violators.
This was reiterated by the Cebu Governor herself during the meeting last May 9 at her office with various agencies and business organizations (Mandaue Traffic Dept, LTFRB, CIP, OPASCOR, Transpo associations, MEPZCEM and other support groups).
Please be guided and plan your shipment and production accordingly as this may impact your shipment and production scheduling as well as your inventory.
